THE EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED!

Since 2003, the city of Chartres, member of the international network of cities lights "LUCI", has become aware of the need to develop events around the Light which could gather locals and invite tourists to an unusual discovery of its entire heritage.
"Lights of Chartres" has become one of the major events in the city, through its spectacular night tour, and reveals 27 monuments and major attractions highlighted and put in music.

The enlightenment of the South portal of the Cathedral and the news scenographies for Church St Aignan, the Collegial St André and the rue des Ecuyers.

The Festival of Lights brings an end to this magic event with the enlightenment of new sites, streets animations and musical.

PRACTICAL INFORMATIONS :

Dates and timetable : 
Open all day between the 21st of May and the 17th of September from nightfall until 1am.
Opening Animation on Saturday the 21st of May in parallel with the Feast of perfume

Illuminated sites: portals Royal, north and south of the Cathedral, the facades of honor and gardens of the Bishop Museum of Fine Arts, the Church of St. Andrew's Hotel Montescot, streets and Squires St. Peter churches Saint-Aignan and Saint-Pierre, places of Cygnus, Evora and billiards, theater, library, attic salt Place des Halles, bridges and washing on the banks of the Eure , Galerie de Chartres-old Chapel Sainte-Foy.
